It's the first time since 1971 that all of Canada is experiencing a white Christmas. But really, who cares? The Sedin Sisters are hosting our Brutish and Mighty Oil tonight. Here's Gregor's report on the lines for tonight. -- bingofuel
Line-ups... Hemsky – Horcoff – Penner Nilsson/Moreau – Cogliano – Pouliot Reddox – Gagner – Cole Strudwick – Brodziak – Stortini
Moreau skated at the morning skate and will be a game time decision. If he can't go then Nilsson will draw in. If he does, Nilsson will be eating popcorn in the pressbox.

Wanye Gretz will be asking his parents to end Christmas Dinner half an hour after it begins so that he can watch the Oilers.
It's basically like every other Christmas we have had in the Gretz family to date.

I am curious if some of the oilers with roots in Ontario made it back to Edmonton for the charter flight to YVR - otherwise called the dead zone - as Westjet refused to fly into Vancouver over the holidays as the airport did not have enough deicing equipment - MacT is at fault for running a practise the next morning (DEC 23) instead of letting the players take the red eye to YYZ after the marginal win over the bankrupt YOTES...... this will be one jet lagged tired team - expect a zombie effort due to this schedule quirk in YVR. Next time give the players 12 more hours off or invite the families to Edmonton...this is going to be a turkey disaster - MACT got coal this Christmas - not a happy holiday when your best friend is thinking about cutting you loose sooner or later.

Deep Oil - seriously man. If there was an eclipse, you'd find a way to turn it into another reason to "fire MacT". The reasons for the early morning practice on Dec 23 were well documented and sounded pretty logical to me.
If you're going to rag on the team, at least try to find something that doesn't make you look like a complete tool in the process.

The Sedins are douchebags (at least citizens of the OilersNation must think so). They're each holding newspapers. The "together at last" is a hat-tip to the Simpsons' where Homer was eating a bag of "Nuts 'n Gum," the catch-phrase of which was "together at last."

We're doing alright, Horcoff is handling the puck like its a live weasel, Nilsson has been on 3 different lines already.
But Weve been solid on the back end.
The thing I am noticing is that the Oilers has a more aggressive fore check going. Sending two players. This could be because we're tied and not losing and I am so used to seeing us behind by two goals after one.
POOOOOO! Wow. who would have thought that the kid who always was a goal scorer wasn't a third line grinder but an offensive player?
