Ah, lambs, sometimes it seems like the gods of hockey listen to our prayers. There's this article in the Journal today whose headline reads “Lowe may pursue Hossa with Katz $$$”. The article states that, according to "sources," "Edmonton Oilers general manager Kevin Lowe may be in pursuit of free-agent sniper Marian Hossa of the Atlanta Thrashers."

Apparently Hossa's agent, Ritch Winter, is a Katz fan. How in the heck Rich “Mr I made Ryan Smyth leave his home” Winter could even know Katz, much less be a fan, is a mystery to us. Nonetheless, I guess Katz has 2.6 billion reasons that penny grubbing douchebags like Winter, who are willing to do whatever it takes to get their 7% agent's commission, would kiss up to him.

The article goes on to say that Lowe can give it a shot as he has the dough, and that “maybe Lowe could put a package together, and he's got the Anaheim Ducks' first-round pick as part of the Chris Pronger trade.”

Get this deal done! We have been praying to any god who would listen for this deal to get done.

Why give up anything for Hossa now? Why give up young talent on a UFA... If he really likes katz that much then wait until the offseason and sign him in free agency and not lose our future, because we all know its going to cost a lot for Hossa especially with everyone starting to gun for him that are actually in a playoff race.

Where do you get off saying that the Oilers have a tendency to make trades out of desperation... they only SIGN players out of desperation, screwing their team up completely.
