UPDATE: Bobby Nilsson deal!

I just got word from Wanye who's on the road from Calgary: the Oil just signed Bobby Nilsson to a three-year deal worth $5.5 million total. Talk radio's all over this one, I guess.

The 23-year-old has had a decent Oilers career: 74 GP 11-31-42.

Lowe's really lockin' 'em down...

I heard Brownye and some callers bad mouthing Penner & Pitkanen again yesterday. Ho-Hum. Maybe KLowe should just ask them for their approved list of players. This could save Robin alot of lost sleep and save the Oil from suffering under his withering displeasure. I am in favor of having some patience with these players as well as the coaches. If you are a pro-MacT guy you have to believe he deserves a chance to develop these players.

$5.5M for 3 yrs for Nilsson is a good deal.
