Oilers vs. Flames Postgame: Undoing Last Night's Damage

Edmonton Oilers: 1

Calgary Flames: 2

No time for analysis tonight, I'm afraid; it's New Years! In any case, the Calgary Flames were a better team and Jeff Deslauriers made it respectable. He's been every bit as good as anyone could have expected Nikolai Khabibulin to be and is one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal season.

Speaking of bright spots, tremendous game for Eberle at the World Juniors tonight.

is it bad to be semi-optimistic that Vish is possibly out now? Losing our best d-man has to make it easier to DFF.

Also from the little i watched of this game it was a snoozefest. The juniors were much more exciting Eberle was amazing. To get you guys more excited MPS looked pretty good in Sweden`s rout of Finland he got another goal. Hopefully Hall this year will make us better down the road................

The Viz is out for a few days at best. Looks like he'll be back in the next game.

Eberle and MPS? Yeah whatever. They'll be something to talk about three years from now.

isnt that all we really have?

and actually, party pooper, eberle and MPS are something to talk about now, just in relation to the world juniors.

both could turn out to be the next schremp, time will tell. but, given that the oilers faithful have had their faces rubbed in sh*t like a puppy the last couple of years, the future is all we have left to grasp.

since Loverboy is playing at River Cree, can we get some mock LP covers of "GET LUCKY" from the ON writing staff for the front page? Gregor can supply the red leather pants for everyone to squeeze into.

barf. thanks.

What happened to Visnovsky last night? He was injured? I can't find information on it anywhere.
