RADIOSHOW FIST!
Very timely Wanye.
What is three weeks late not timely? It is to me!
Did the NHL just give up on this game because it is too boring? Why are they taking the intermission early and adding to the third period?
About time! Is most of the show trade talk... Because if sooooo... it's not going to be very relevant today n'est pas?
The game plan with NationRadio Robin is to talk about things that have a little bit more of a shelf life. The history of the Oilers, remembering things from the past with broadcast legends and recalling the careers of ex players.
As such it is the goal to make shows that will be relevant for awhile. Give 'er a listen and let me know what you think.
I think lowetide does a hell of a job.
@Wanye
Sweet...now I can listen to NR instead of the 3rd period....I bet LT gets more shots than the oilers!
Is Penner even PLAYING tonight? Totally invisible, as always! Someone needs to build a Donair stand in front of the net!
Oh...
*sad* :(
On a brighter note, John Short is an absolute treasure. If he's an NR regular, you can't lose.
Thanks!
Jesus Brule, brutal give away.
VEEEEEERY relevant ;-)
Maybe it would be a good idea to have like a linky thing on the board, maybe in the Media subfolder?
I figured Petiot shoulda been up the whole year.
@RossCreekNation
Thats what happens when the GDB isnt even on the first page. No shelf life for GDBs apparently :P
That being said, glad NR can be caught up on now.
Liiiiinus!!! Nice, baby!
Dustin who?
It is going to be a column in the top header.
GEEZ CAN'T A GUY POST A RADIO SHOW THREE WEEKS LATE AND NOT BE GIVEN MORE HOMEWORK?
Touche.
Content overload! Sweet!
This is awesome! Thank you for posting this, probably too much effort to transform these into pod casts eh? Would love to listen to these on the bus or when I'm walking in this stupid Arctic chill!
They can be downloaded Deaner. Just right click the title "full podcast" and she's all yours!
Late night! Thanks buddy, now time to dream about Omark
They're MP3's. You can get 'em with an app called "DownloadHelper" and Firefox.*
*Or so I've been told. Not to imply I have access to illegal downloading software. Price does not include all applicable taxes. APR. Dealer may sell for less. Advertised performance may not be typical.
Also, I simply cannot believe Lowetide's killer radio voice.
Lowetide is the shit. And yes I will manually allow a swear word into commentary to emphasize the point.
That's because he used to be a radio guy.
Also, no offense to TheWillis, but I expected him to sound nerdier... heh.
@wanye
can you get the podcasts posted on the team1260? thats what my google listen syncs with and then i can get elph enjoyment on the road. thanks. we need syndication damnit
What on earth is a google listen? We are going to bring out an RSS feed of the podcasts once we figure that out - one thing at a time of course - you can download them right off of here in the meantime my old chum... just right click the header.
I think it's awesome the Team has 6 consecutive hours of hockey (Pipeline, OilerNation, & Gretzky's) on Saturday - including 4 hours of local fare. Not since the early days of the Team when Tony Furillo (sp?) had a morning show and Ron Rimmer had his evening show did we get so much home radio.
Call me a homer, but I rather listen locally than ESPN.
is it available to download for a ipod?
Lowetide is great! Dude is made for radio. So glad we have this trade deadline primer! I hope they don't trade Penner OR Hemsky.
I love how many times he says Wanye.
I look forward to listening to the show on NHL trade day some time this summer.
-30-
OMG!!! John Short is amazing. I never knew who he is until we were discussing your first show over at LT
That old picture of Lowetide in the studio is priceless.
Thats weird- I think he sounds like the guy from "honey i shrank the kids".
I kid, I kid.
Is this going to be podcasted? You realize that its not a podcast if its just a file on a server linked to by a webpage right? There needs to be an rss feed to subscribe to so it can downloaded automatically.
I thought the guy from the Bruins prospect watch was on the show? Which segment is he on?
it's Mr.Mitchell in his University of Michigan Letter sweater? really Robin? Did he Letter in Radio & Broadcasting? or just so he could get the chicks in his rumble seat>>>
Great show LT.
This will happen all in good time, sir. We just wanted to get this out ASAP. Unfortunately Wanye Jong-Il has me toiling in the salt mines on other things.
Tonight the "Nation Radio" link will go up on the nav bar. All of these articles will be under the "NationRadio" author, so you'll be able to subscribe to the author blog RSS feed. Shortly after, I'll try to get a "proper" podcast feed where the downloads can happen automagically.
In the meantime, though, all this salt won't mine itself. Pass me the shovel.
Nice Job Lowetide... I always knew you had a pen like the rear-end of a silk worm, But I would've never guessed you had a voice like melted chocolate...
Great radio. I just listened to Part 5 -- it's good to put a voice to JW's name. He sounds pretty level-headed, actually.
