NationRadio
March 08 2011 10:51AM

Gather round 1930s children. Your equally dated schoolmarm Mrs. Wanye von Gretz would like to demonstrate to you to the wonders of the modern radiola. Specifically, Episode III of NationRadio beckons you towards the rocks of unproductivity.
Jonathan Willis discusses tradelines past and present and other statistical wizardry and witchcraft related talk.
Kent Wilson from FlamesNation discusses the Flames plans for the deadline.
Matt Bugg from mckeenshockey.rivals.com and Dobber Hockey and the 2011 Entry Draft.
Ian Walker from the Vancouver Sun discusses the 2010-11 Vancouver Canucks and looks ahead to their upcoming playoff run.
Brian Hayes from AM 640 in Toronto discusses the 2010-11 Toronto Maple Leafs and looks ahead to their non-existent playoff run.
Lowetide takes a look at 10 potential deadline pickups for the Oilers.
That wouldn't have fit on Lou's Jersey.
@Soft Hands McSteeley - FIST Movement
I'm not annoyed with you Sir Fistsalot, that's just what kids like to do i guess, you must have me confused with another.
The show still being held at the palatial Pint studious mere moments from the illustrious north shore of the North Saskatchewan river LT?
Perhaps I should have noted the title. Not complaining, I know you guys are busy, just wish we could get at the podcasts sooner.
Ok....just got the link from DK0 above. EXCELLENT! Thanks!
Just another FIST to piss Quicksilver off.
Love the show Lowetide, keep it up.
Nice to see the Radio Tab in the header!
(Cough) *podcast?* (cough) Needs to be accessible off the phone
Wait a sec... how about the old "there's an app for that?" answer?
I still can't get over the fact that a writer on Oilers Nation is actually named "NationRadio" and he provides us with podcasts of Nation Radio broadcasts.
What are the chances?
@Dan the Man
That's like Lou Gehrig dying of Lou Gehrig's disease.
@Max Powers - Team HME Evans
Lou Gehrig actually might not have had Lou Gehrigs disease but Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy
@Oilcruzer
That's ok because the Yankees didn't put names on the Jerseys...
@Mantastic
Good to know. I can sleep now.
Love the show Lowetide! Keep up the great work.
@Wayne: Is there a way to get the podcasts up a bit sooner? I'd reallly like to download the podcast from THIS Saturday (Mar 5) and listen to it this week.
http://s3.amazonaws.com/thenationnetwork/ spits out some sort of xml file that i imagine they are going to build the podcast automatically downloading to you off of. the files seem to go up much quicker then the articles here do (again they are probably just working stuff out).
but here you go:
http://s3.amazonaws.com/thenationnetwork/podcasts/oilersnation/ 2011_03_05/oilersnation_radio_2011_03_05_full.mp3
If this is supposed to be the show from this past Saturday, why are all subjects discussed PRE-trade deadline? (8 days ago).
JW is one of my fav writers on the sphere. More than one appearance will be highly appreciated
Hey Wayne,
Are there still plans to get these on iTunes someday?
Any chance that the podcasts can be posted earlier. Some of the content quickly becomes outdated.
Oilecruzer Nice to see the Radio Tab in the header! (Cough) *podcast?* (cough) Needs to be accessible off the phone Wait a sec... how about the old "there's an app for that?" answer?
Works fine on an Iphone with a unlimited data package
Yes, we'll be doing this as soon as we can.
Podcasts are in the work queue, worry not!
The player is an HTML5 audio player, so these should be playable from any modern mobile browser. In the future when we get around to building a proper mobile version of the site, the player will be much easier to access.
