James Mirtle from the Globe and Mail discusses a variety of topics from around the league.

Segment 3

Bob Ridley - the legendary voice of the Medicine Hat Tigers who has a facebook group dedicated to his awesomeness - gives an in depth look at the Tigers WHL playoff chances and examines several Tigers prospects.

Segment 4

The classy and effervescent Gene Principe from Sportsnet makes his inaugural appearance on NationRadio and weighs in on the state of the Oilers heading into the 2011 Entry Draft.

Segment 5

Jim Byers - the play by play man for the Oklahoma City Barons - provides an update of the only Oilers related team to make a push towards the playoffs since 1994.

Update: All of the segments for the show now appear and are all correct files. Do you know how hard it is to get this right? What with the children screaming and the uneasy economy?

LT,

Really enjoyed the segment with Terry Jones. I hope they don't cut corners on the new arena. Lived in Boston for a while and there is definitely a "non-first-class" feel to the arena there, compared to say, Staples.

In terms of attracting more buzz to the downtown Edmonton core, one takeway from the arena district in Los Angeles is the importance of the surrounding development. If they just plunked the arena into the southwest corner of downtown LA without the concomitant development of hotels and the Nokia entertainment facility, I doubt the impact would have been as significant.

Great job so far LT, the weekends had been a wasteland for Oiler programming until your oasis in the desert came on Sat afternoons. Love the show. Please expand it. Great guests, excellent analysis and discussion. More LT, please. BTW, read this funny quote in the Journal,"The Hemsky hattrick: A goal, an assist, and an injury."

@Wanye

oh that's weird, because on the end of segment 5, LT mentioned something about who's coming up next, Jason McKey, Spruce Groove Saint's coach?.

Awesome. Keep up the great work Lowetide.

Btw: On these posts, it's difficult to tell which segment description goes with which embedded segment MP3. Might want to space things out so that it's more obvious.

Thanks.

Wanye,

Unless Lowetide just ran out of things to say and folks to interview, the full clip is from April 2nd.
