NO WINNER NO WINNER

This is L'il Wayne, Birdman and Mark Cuban celebrating the Mavericks NBA Championshop in Miami last night. If we don't want to see a similar scene featuring Tom Cochrane, The Odds and Ryan Kesler somewhere in Boston tonight, the Bruins are going to need to step up to the plate.
KARMA IS BEING KIND (SO FAR)

Believers in sports karma are quite content today in the wake of Lebron, Bosh, Wade and Co losing to the veteran laced Mavericks. Even if you don't care about basketball in the least - and really who can blame you - you should be able to identify douchebags by sight and appreciate the fact that a bunch of players that deserved the Championship beat out a bunch of nerds who didn't.
It translates well into tonight's game if you ask us.
Watching the tens of thousands of Canucks fans partying in the streets of Vancouver after the Game 5 win and remembering the ghost town that was the Game 3 and Game 4 aftermath - we can't help but grind our teeth and hope for the Bruins to pull out a win at home tonight followed by another win in G7.
Vancouver cannot win the Stanley Cup. Not like this, not with this collection of easily hateable players. Tim Thomas cannot be denied. The Zombie Chara cannot be denied. Even Tyler Seguin's ratty tribute to Colonial England Beard Stylings cannot be denied.

Also - if you are on the Twitters and enjoy this type of highbrow humour, there is going to be a sass talking extravaganza tonight you can be sure.
Follow us here and let us know you are in the game.
It's time for bold action and declarations of victory. Good luck fellas.
Bruins 5 - Canucks 2

SELF FIST GO BRUINS
The Oilers aren't in the playoffs, as a result, I am a championship Tromboner. Trombone and knitting, there is no final this year.
Bask in my glow, people.

Fistology tells us that a man who FISTS his very own article WINS. No matter what happens in this game tonight, Wanye wins. Period* But Boston better win tonight dammit.
*Thats what she said

Todd is the typical Vancouver fan. When they have all the calls going their way (legitimate or not doesnt seem to matter) they say "the refs are doing great" but when the calls arent in their favour (again, legitimate or not doesnt make a difference) they are all up in arms. If i was the refs i would be against vancouver with all their whining and diving.
BTW I wonder if fans in vancouver were "cheering for Schnieder" again.... ha
I really don't understand what Vigneault was thinking last night. On Boston's second shot just 5 minutes in, Luongo allows a snap shot that's high-short side. It was a bad goal; Luongo had a clear view and there's no excuse for letting that float by his shoulder. Nonetheless, I understand that sometimes you just accept that life is hard, grit your teeth, and move on. Just three shots and 30 seconds later, though, a soft wrister trickles through his five-hole. He needed to stop that too.
Right then, right at that moment, Vigneault needed to recognize something. Luongo has been completely shelled his last two games in Boston. He's now back there and he's allowed two soft goals on five shots. His confidence is somewhere between badly F'd up and nonexistent. As a coach, you need to get Luongo out of the net right then.
You can argue that pulling Luongo at that point might have been a big confidence-kill in and of itself. I don't care. Down two goals early in the game, you still have a chance to come back and win the Stanley Cup that night. If that happens, Luongo's confidence or lack thereof won't matter a damn; he can find it again in the off-season. Even if you lose, Luongo can chalk it up to demons in Boston and come home and pitch another shutout in Vancouver. Whatever you decide, there is no way anyone should have realistically been thinking at that point that Luongo was going to buckle down, exorcize his demons, and stop all the pucks for the rest of the night.
By the time Vigneault belatedly figured that out two-and-a-half minutes later, the damage was done. Down 3-0, I think most of the Vancouver team decided that history was going to repeat and had mentally checked out. They were already gearing up for Game 7 in Vancouver at that point, not gearing up to finish things in Game 6.
That one single decision - to keep Luongo in net after the second goal - I think that could well have cost Vancouver the game. It's yet to be seen if it might also have cost them the Cup.
Well if Van wins tonight, t'will be thier FIST Cup...and we will hear about it forever.
Plug away!*
Seriously everyone drop their twitter handles on here in the comments and we will all follow one another tonight and be best friends.
*That's what she said.
Har Har Har That's what she said indeed
Fistology shat not lie ! Raise your FISTS in the air and thrust them in the face of the enemy !
@geoilersgist - Команда РОССИЯ кулак!!!
Everyone dropping twitter names in here is going to get a follow from me and a bag of Jordan Eberle hair in the mail*
*Hair will not be valid
IS THAT YOU ROBERTO?
"If a team wins the Stanley cup and nobody from Oiler Nation is watching does it really happen?" Bruce Cockburn
C'mon boys, give credit where credit is due. Vancouver is a much better team and deserve to win it all for the marbles. We (Oilers) will get our cup again in 4-5 years.
Lebron was asked to donate $1.00 to a charity fund raiser but only contributed 75 cents. When asked why that was, he said he couldn't come up with a fourth quarter.
Yep.. they are sure winning.. Getting their arses kicked on the road yet again! Awesome! The Bruins need to bottle this for Wednesday....
Actually, if Schneider starts game 7 I don't care who wins. I think I hate that greasy prima ballerina that much. What a hilarious summer of agony.
Glad to see the refs are cheering for boston. That is just terrible. What a joke, worse than the NBA.
Wanye, your 5-2 prediction is the stuff of legend. Thank you for providing me with this boner of admiration that I will now enjoy for the next 48 hours.
MMMMMM. See how fast I responded? It's almost as though I am waiting here to be showered in praise.
Yes "almost as though..."
Wanye knows. Understand this now and forever, O nuckleheaded ones. Dickishness will not go unpunished in the sporting universe. Wednesday night, Loulou Lemon will be enshrined with Lebron "I'm taking my talents to South Beach" James in the Sports Hall of Hubris. Take a sucka that, Kesler.
Negative Props.
Your whiny, diving, edamame eating, greasy, no good, biting, tire pumping ringette team deserves every bit of the beat down they received.
Fair? If Fair had anything to do with it the Blackhawks would have completed the comeback and we wouldnt have to hear this crap about the referees, the league, and the conspiracy theories.
I'll tell you what Marchand was doing punching Sedin in the face 6 times. He was playing for the Stanley Cup in the biggest game of his life. What the hell was Sedin doing just standing there and taking it? That's my question.
Your heartless club deserves the worst and the worst only.
CLASSIC
I just laughed my bag off. That's why I keep coming back for mo'.
The Oil Change is almost finished. Do you need us to pump your tires for you, Mr. Luongo, or will you be sh!tt!ng the bed again this evening?
@Wanye
Wow fist off nicely done on the self FIST Wanye. Secondly i'd like to say nice work Semi Moronic for what in normal circumstances would have been a damn nice FIST aswell.
As for the game tonight, GO BRUINS.
Twitterverse beware, sh*t is going to hit the fan tonight @SHMcSteeley *
* yes that was a shamless self plug.
I'd give anything for the Canucks to start Schneider but I know that can't happen. Not with Lou signed through 3341.
Bruins 6, canucks 2
I know some Canucks fan somewhere is thinking that they will intentionally tank it tonight so they can win at home. BRUTES!!
follow me at: @themenacer
If there are, in fact, hockey gods, they will show up tonight. And game 7. And at the Beantown parade.
@the_gunnshow
Lou Lou is going to wish he didn't say those things about Timmy tonight. @geoilergist
Lil' Wayne is basically a Canucks fan. He hopped aboard the LeBron bandwagon carrying his trumpet only to ditch at the first sign of a better party. He professes to be a huge Miami Heat fan and basically follows the team throughout the playoffs and then parties with Dirk and the boys after "his" team sh*ts the bed?
Can we get Lil Wayne to publicly support the Nucks? Get on this Wanye. You know people.
EDIT: Does anyone else find themselves nearly incapable of spelling the name "Wayne" correctly due to the absured spelling of our Dear Leader's name?
I read that L'il Wayne was recording MTV Unplugged earlier in the night and flew in for the party and left again in the AM. That's gangster.
I have this problem spelling Wayne - Wanye. My spellcheck on my computer is no help, having accepted Wanye as a real word in 2008.
he has curly hair right?
BRUINS IN 6!
@mayorpoop
Sorry but Van canucks will win if not tonight, for sure the 7th game... I am an Oilers fan first but not like most of Canada, I have nothing against Vancouver Canucks as winners. They are a better team in regular season and they will be in the finals.
@SLURVE
Boooo - no one likes dissenting opinions here!
In all seriousness, I thought you said "wieners".
Pardon?
@TheMantasticMan #OilersInYVR
Let's go B's!! show them to how to play the game.
thanks for "...Bask in my glow, people..."
baggedmilk
...good thing i had my sunscreen on
If Vancouver wins tonight can we vote Leave them behind in another country and have Canada end at the Vancouver city limits? I bet the Frenchies would join us for sure!
I'm going to pop over to Gregor's article when he posts. I'm sure it will be all about MMA.
You better PISS OFF Slurve!*
*Thats what I said
Somebody photoshop Roberto Luongo's face onto "the most interesting man in the world" and caption it "I may not always sh!t the bed, but when I do, it's in the playoffs". I would do it myself, but am not computer savvy enough.
No lie someone sent this to me in an email recently. I will find it
*runs off to WanyeMail*
Wanye, great line. I too recognize a d/b from a mile away... And I hate basketball... But had to watch the last 4 n half minutes to see this go down.
BTW Mark Cuban is another huge d/b... But good for Dirk.
Here's to game 7 in the cup finals.
Done!
*lays down due to fatigue*
I have heard Cuban is a bit of a tool but I think he is improving. He refused interviews in the latter stages of the playoffs which would have been unheard of a few years ago. I also respect him for his love of blowing cash on sports teams. I hope he eventually gets the Cubs.
