The mid-season doldrums are officially here. With winter finally arriving in Alberta this weekend, Lowetide takes a look at the Oilers as they tumble down the standings.
He also invites back regulars Thom Drance, Scott Taylor and Kent Wilson to get a feel for how the Jets, Canucks and Flames are looking as we march past the mid-point of the season. David Staples also stops by to talk about the Oilers while Kent Simpson discusses the Oil Kings.
This is Nation Radio.
First up is Jets Nation's Scott Taylor who stops by to update us on all the Jets current events.
Next up, Thomas Drance of Canucks Army talks about the Western Conference leading Canucks and their mutant scoring twins.
Allan talks the WHL, Tom Renney and the Oil Kings with colour commentator Kent Simpson.
The Cult of Hockey's David Staples looks at the Oilers recent struggles, Theo Peckham and the future of the club.
FlamesNation and Network editor Kent Wilson fills us in on the Cammalleri trade.
Allan shares some thoughts and reactions on the Oilers recent losses.
Whole thing.
FIST to listen in
I was holding off hopefully reserving the first comment for Stocc.... But you'll do.
Stocc might be running dry. Hopefully FIST nation will be inspired and pick up when I start to slow down.
Retiring a legend.... Nice, that will only solidify your reputation. (Slow Clap)
Am I the only who sees that after the injuries the last couple of years Cammalleri is not the player he used to be. He is not really a 6 million dollar guy. Its too much cap for the pop.
Topping it all off Calgary gives up another 2nd rounder also and now makes it a when are they going to realize its time to rebuild they are going to have a spiral that makes ours look like super fun times.
Makes me sad I long for a meaning full BofA but don't see it happening for ten years now.
