Hey all! Steve Dangle here from the Leafs Nation *braces for barage of batteries and tomatos*
I do highlights for the KHL's official YouTube channel along with fellow Nations contributer Andrey Osadchenko, and I thought you'd like to see Yakupov score this game-winner with 10 seconds left.
Enjoy!

Between Eberle & Yak, it will be a real race to see who delivers that clutch goal fist with 10 seconds left in the Stanley Cup Final.
The sick part about Yakupov's goals has been the fact that so many of them have been scored from such a far distance from the net. He is scoring on goalies from the High Slot or just past the blue line. Crazy shot.
Just unreal.
WOOT WOOT!!!
Boner!
@Archaeologuy
He has a great shot, for sure, but those are tier II goalies when compared to NHL talent.
~ I 'd rather see a nice 10 foot outlet pass or smooth pivot from Ryan Murray. ~
I watched that game and there was a strange call on what I think was Sibir's third goal. It looked completely fine however the ref behind the net waived no goal. I believe Sibir protested and the call went upstairs for a review.the call was ultimately overturned and the goal counted. What I can't understand is what the ref was thinking to call it no goal in the first place. It was very strange.
Kids a player, end this stupid lockout. Grrrrrrrr
During these very dark days the escapades of Yak and Justin Shultz are the only things sustaining us. The nightmare from which I am unable to awake features these two, along with Nuge, Hall and Ebs winning the Cup in a few years....for the Markham Corporate Entities or the Quebec City Oil Thieves.
So we have had to endure six years of abysmal results, and now are being crucified by the lockout AND the Katz clown show. For the Biblically inclined we are the Jobs of the NHL.
Fair enough, but the KHL is the best league in the world right now and even when it isn't it still isn't known for its glut of goal scoring.
NY !!

Don't you mean waffles?
WHAT? Are you crazy? Yakupov's goals are things of....oh, wait a second...I see what you did there. Very funny. I wonder if these Yakupov highlight packages are getting posted on any Blue Jackets' fan sites? Maybe one that has Yakupov playing against Rick Nash (different leagues, I know), just to rub salt in the wound? I kid, I kid.
To expand, to be a point-per-game player in the KHL is very rare. Brandon Bochenski (remember him?) lead the KHL with 27 goals last season. They obviously player fewer games, too.
Unlike most pucks in the Leafs' defensive zone, that was well-played.
At the very end of the video I found myself saying "Yaakoopoff, jerk!"
Learn to freakin pronounce his name, it's not that hard.. Instead of calling his real name people are going "Yakuapov" insulting..
Insulting is this lockout, oilers Arena bs, and the only good hockey tonight I missed(okc barons) because I slept in..
Somehow I'm still optimistic that a new CBA will get worked out in the next 4-5 days, and we will see Hopkins, Hall, Eberle, Schultz, and Yakupov play in the NHL playoffs in May.
