I wish I was moving back to Edmonton sooner. Damn, I will still be in BC until Halloween. I doubt my wife would enjoy handling all the moving stuff while I gallivant around watching hockey and football. Sign ..... Have fun guys, that sounds like a cool trip.

I'd rather have Shock and Awe, over just Bold. wrote:

Yeah I think so.

Mid December would be my best guess.

I think the talks over the weekend should tell us a lot.

The NHL wants the players to come up with a new proposal based on an immediate reduction in player share.

If the PA says FU, then this could last awhile.

In other news, the search for Jimmy Hoffa's body is on again.

Guess the Oilers could lose Ryan Whitney or Laddy Smid for nothing if the year is wiped out. It's tough to compete with what the Ducks have at risk to lose.

I'd so be offering Hemsky+ or Gags+ to Anaheim for their first in either 2013-2014. That selection is pretty much a lock to be a lotto pick. I don't believe they have the luxury of a patient fanbase to go through rebuild hell.

Don't think either Hemsky or Gagner would get you a first round pick.

Next year's draft is full of big centres...and any smart GM will want to see what Hemsky can do before making that trade.

@DSF

A rather desperate attempt i know but you have to try. Gagner,Paajarvi+, or a version thereof. Outside of the 5 keepers, there has to be something that would get their interest.

I know you're not a Paajarvi fan but maybe the Oilers could find someone whose obviously as unaware as the Oilers (Tuebert).

Wow, $1500++ for a trip to go to OKC for 2 AHL games, a football game? Cmon thats a joke. Are we staying in a hotel made of gold? Seriously AHL games arent that expensive and Ive been to a few College Basketball and Football games to know that College games arent expensive. Wow.

@ Steve Honestly

Flights and Taxes arent cheap anywhere. I just flew my family to and from FLA and it was $3400 return (family of 4). But that is FLA, not OKC. I am sure it would be a great time, but too many commitments for me.

Not to mention the $1500 you'll need for booze.

Shawn Horcoff's fault. He set the price point.

Plus a very good chance you will see Cam Barker, so really how can you put a price on that?

Seriously, try buying airline tickets to US. Prices have shot up a ton.

Gregor,

Run up to Stillwater and play Karstem Creek. One of the best College golf courses in the country... In the middle of nowhere. That's Fowler got his swagger.

Sooners football is bigger than any other sport in the state including the Thunder. Playing ND is huge. That's the expensive ticket unless you can hussle some students to stand in line for 2 days.

Again I've been to a ton of NCAA games, including March Madness, Bowl Games without buying tickets From students and never paid as much as what this trip is costing. I get the flights will be expensive but $1500 for three-day trip is garbage.

I just checked a certain canadian airline and it costs $1000 to fly return if you don't mind duct taping yourself to the plane belly. Imagine what the teleporters are gonna cost in a few decades.

Go and check Stub hub. Cheapest ticket is $200. College football games in states with no pro-football teams are much different than Ohio, Michigan, Washington...

Arkansas, Alabama and Oklahoma are big dollar tickets. Biggest show the states have and only 6 home games a year.
