It’s too soon and the wounds are just too fresh to do a post mortem on the Oilers 2011-12 season just yet. But there is some unfinished business with regards to couple of certain someones in the running for a couple of certain NHL trophies.

With two games remaining on the Edmonton Oilers 2011-12 NHL season we find ourselves caring more about the 29th place local squadron then how the big shots at the top of the NHL ladder are faring. Call us a simple minded Edmontonian with hotdogs in each hand - but whatever.
Amidst all the suck, two topics are sticking out in our mind as of prime importance.

So the Oilers play the LA Kings tonight in another meaningless game do they? And Gregor is doing married guy stuff before his show and asked us to write the GDB on his behalf? How will we live with the pressure of trying to describe a game that will be forgotten by 99% of us within days?

We missed the Oilers game last night. Not because we had some pressing prior engagement or something more important to do but because something else best described as "moderately fun" came up and we picked that over watching a meaningless game at the end of the season against a superior opponent who never loses at home.
At times like these we can turn only to German Techno for guidance.

Oh hey Calgary. How’s things? It’s just Wanye - your friendly neighbour to the North. Just thought we’d pop in with a few friends to talk about the ice hockey match this evening.
