LOS ANGELES - As on the ice, the teams that make up the Northwest Division represents both extremes at the draft table. Clubs who do not pick until the 3rd round will attempt to help their teams as much as those with double-digit picks, while emerging and elite teams will attempt to shore up already envious pipelines of talent as others continue to flounder in draft mediocrity. Any given draft can shape a team's future, but just as important as how the Edmonton Oilers do, it's who the other teams in the Northwest select that will shape the vision of future rivalries.

The Edmonton Rush, at least one Edmonton team that has seen the playoffs this season, unfortunately didn't make it to the final round. They fell to the Washington Stealth in the semifinal by a single point in overtime, with a score of 12-11.
Earlier this season, OilersNation commenter, gaddabout, and resident drunk, creepy uncle Ender the Dragon attended a Rush game... I don't want to give anything away but... there was the lacrosse equivalent of ice girls there. READ HIS TALE.

Well, Nation fans, this is it. The second-last game to cap off on another year. A year that failed to meet expectations, for sure. But hope lies on the horizon. And it's not just because Europe is performing a live version of the Final Countdown as you view this post, either.

We won, Nation. We won. 5-1 against the Sharks. Stortini AND Comrie got into fights. I was there. There was shouting and the consumption of beverages. And it was free, thanks to stalwart OilersNation commenter rubbertrout.
