There was a certain trade that was talked about this past summer that never came to fruition. It was a trade that involved three of the boys in copper and blue — Dustin Penner, Andrew Cogliano, and Ladislav Smid. In exchange for these three soldiers of fortune, the Oilers were to acquire a certain someone from the Ottawa Senators who now plays for the San Jose Sharks. Let's call that certain someone "The Heat."

I don't know about you guys, but these Sunday afternoon PPV games don't provide a very good incentive for me to get out of bed. That's why I'm writing this in my full-body jammies with sewn-on feet from my bedroom. I'm also eating an entire ham in bed, but that's a typical Sunday morning tradtion that really has nothing to do with hockey or PPV games.

You guessed it, Nationeers. It's lazy Sunday. That means today, I'm not even thinking about hockey. But who can blame me? The last seven games have been a difficult pill to swallow — with a record of 4-6-0 in the last ten— and although many people warned me, including several Nation writers, I still wasn't prepared for the thoroughly average to below-average play displayed by this team so far this season.

Well, it's finally happened, Nationeers. Our crack team of developer-monkeys (which, really, should be singular as Citizen Alpha has been the lead monkey on rebuilding the Nations) has made enough amazing changes to the site that we feel like we can sit back, relax a tip one or two back in the name of... well, OilersNation.

I'm not one to dwell on the past. That would mean the revisiting of so many addictions that I'd most likely relapse. Like, into my World of Warcraft addiction. And no one here wants that. Who would update OilersNation?
