The past two weeks have been a blur for me.I find out the citizens at OilersNation wanted more Draft coverage so they paid to send me to Montreal, then Brodziak gets traded (okay not a major story but Oilers fans are so passionate that even a trade involving #51 gets people fired up) and then Heatley-gate.

The Oilers haven’t backed off from acquiring Dany Heatley, but it sounds like they will have to sweeten the pot if they are going to get him out of Ottawa. The price has just went up according to Sens GM Bryan Murray.

It’s Monday morning and I’m bagged from an awesome weekend. The draft was a blast and was a great experience to take it in live from Montreal. Then Sunday my family had a party for my mother, who got her Doctorate in May. What an awesome achievement for her to fulfill a lifelong goal at the young age of 64. Good job, Mom!

Day two doesn't have the same build up as day one, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more trades today.
And just like that the Day starts with a bang. And it is a piss in your cornflakes day for Oiler fans.
