Ilya Bryzgalov (photos by Rob Ferguson, all rights reserved) played very well last night for the Barons and is likely on his way to the Edmonton Oilers today or tomorrow. I know this is petty, we're better than that and it's a small victory. There is absolutely no way it's going to be enough, the season is an out of control train and beating one bad team counts for zero in real life.
Don't care. Whatever else happens, beat Calgary.

The Edmonton Oilers are in a bad spot now, and with a 4-13-2 record to start the season you would be reading some 'fire the coach' articles by now if this were any other franchise. A wild and crazy ride.

It has to be a bitter pill for the organization, but it's important for them to make rational decisions and receive value for their veterans. Here's a look at some players who may be headed out of Edmonton long before the deadline.
