PITLICK WILLIAMS

Tyler Pitlick turned pro in the fall of 2011, and since that day he has been matriculating toward an NHL job. After multiple injuries over multiple years, he finally emerged this season and posted a strong (almost) first half of the season. Does anyone have a list of injuries? I do, but it may not be complete. It is impressive, I will say that much.

Anton Slepyshev was a key player in a wild and crazy pair of deals made by Craig MacTavish on draft weekend, 2013. The trade (one second round pick for what would turn into five selections) has produced three young men who are trying to make their way as NHL players, with (possibly) more to come. We last looked in during June's lead up to the draft, let's see what has changed.

It looks like Todd McLellan is putting the band back together. Based on published practice lines from yesterday, Jordan Eberle will slide up to the McDavid—Lucic line for the evening (and possibly beyond). In a season where Eberle has either been a target or a possible target for fans, this should mean another million or two words written about 14. What can be said in defense of Eberle? He is very consistent—and that has a lot of value.
