The Edmonton Oilers are 12-8-2 after 22 games in this NHL season and have a real chance to make the playoffs for the first time since 2006. Fans are either nervous, very nervous or have been placed in stasis until spring—after all this time, every win matters. Too much. This afternoon, the gathering of OilersNation will see cheering, screaming, yelling and exactly one mountain of worry. Only 60 more games to go!

On the night of Oscar Klefbom's NHL debut in Minnesota, Wild fans were saluting Matt Cooke on the night of his 1,000 game. Without putting too fine a point on it, this was a clear case of beauty and the beast. We are 129 games into Klefbom's career now, and it looks like he may have another gear.

Mark Fayne was injured very early in the 2016-17 season, and since then the options to replace him have found real traction on the roster. With Fayne now skating, what could this mean for him?

The Edmonton Oilers have a few former Condors on the 23-man roster this season, and some of them are making a difference. Names like Anton Slepyshev and Tyler Pitlick are helping the big club in support roles, and perhaps these men will hang around and become part of the success in Edmonton.
