My fellow Nationers, it's been a long time. I wish I could provide a valid excuse as to my whereabouts but I've never lied to you before and I'm not going to start now. Life has been hectic to say the least. One thing I've learned is that shift work ruins everything. The majority of last season, and this season so far, has seen me either at work, sleeping, getting ready for work or forgetting that there is a game because I never know what day it is let alone what time.

One more sleep, Nationers. One more sleep until we find out who will be crowned the new Golden Boy of the Edmonton Oilers. I have to be honest, I can’t wait for all of this to be over. For weeks I’ve been listening to the same arguments in the Team Seguin vs. Team Hall debate. This is getting more out of control than Team Edward vs. Team Jacob.

We’re the last team in the standings. We’re in 30th place. We’re the #1 losers. We’re the polar opposite of first place. No matter how you say it, it hurts. Not only do we have to put up with the mockery of Flames fans (there’s one in every office) but we also have to deal with the little voice in our heads saying, “Why are you so offended? You know they’re right.”
