The first serious scouting report that I can find on Josef Hrabal is a rather interesting Hockey’s Future article by a fellow named Robert Neuhauser. It was published in December of 2002, early in Hrabal’s draft year. Given where it was written and the occasionally sloppy prose, I was initially tempted to conclude that Neuhauser’s first language wasn’t English

Defenceman Sebastien Bisaillon was never drafted (despite a favorable CSB ranking and after passing through the 2005 and 2006 NHL Entry Drafts,he was invited to the Oilers 2006-07 training camp and signed by the team.

I’ve been a fan of Craig MacTavish for a long time. I defended him last season, and I defended him at the start of this season. He’s a smart guy, and has done a good job getting unheralded players to perform beyond what one would reasonably expect to be their level of ability.

Colin McDonald was a bit of a reach for the Oilers, who drafted him 51st overall in 2003 despite the fact that most publicly available stuff (ISS/CSB Rankings, THN, etc).
