Finger for Souray: A Deal That Makes Sense For All Sides?

With the Toronto Maple Leafs’ recent decision to waive Jeff Finger and assign him to the AHL’s Marlies, and Sheldon Souray’s continuing presence in the minors, it’s been suggested that the Leafs and the Oilers might be able to help each other out by swapping expensive defencemen.

Whispers and innuendo abounded the past couple seasons about a rift, or, at the very least, a lack of togetherness inside the Edmonton Oilers dressing room.

Coming out of the first weekend in the NHL the Oilers are one of only six teams to start the season a perfect 2-0. You know it is early considering, Dallas, St.Louis, Toronto, Carolina and Detroit are the others. Five of these teams missed the playoffs last year, so don't get to excited.
