REPORT: Chiarelli to Interview Todd Nelson for Head Coaching Position

It looks like Peter Chiarelli is doing his due diligence as reports circulate that Todd Nelson will be interviewed for the Head Coaching position at some point this weekend. I'm not going to lie, having all these "interviews" for positions within the Oilers organization seems so foreign to me. These are strange times, friends.

Jackson Houck was part of the Edmonton Oilers’ 2013 draft class, selected in the fourth round. Like several other 2013 picks, he must be signed to an entry-level contract this summer or he’ll re-enter the draft. His release from a tryout contract with the Oklahoma City Barons doesn’t seem like a positive sign on that count.

One of the major items on Peter Chiarelli's to do list is to find an experienced head coach to lead this team out of the perennial basement in which they reside. Well, according to NHL.com, the Edmonton Oilers have interviewed Todd McLellelan for the head coaching position.
