Justin Schultz is off to a pretty decent start to his post-Edmonton Oilers career, and his stats line certainly looks impressive. He’s played 15 games in Pittsburgh, putting up seven points and an impressive plus-10 rating.
It’s a performance which warrants closer examination.

This week the boys talk about the Yakupov trade request, gush over Patrick Maroon, talk about the NHL Email dump, the Jimmy Vesey drama and more.
Then Chris tries to make Jeanshorts and Baggedmilk seem old by quizzing them on internet lingo before another educational edition of Ask The Idiots.

The final week of the NHL season has some interesting story lines to follow.
Three division titles are still up for grabs Dallas leads the Blues by two points, but the Blues have a game in hand. Florida leads Tampa Bay by two points and each have four games remaining, while the Ducks lead the Kings by a single point and each team has four games to play.
The Red Wings (91 points) and Boston (90) are battling for third place in the Atlantic division, but they are also battling Philadelphia (91) for the final wildcard spot. The Red Wings' 25-year playoff streak is on the line, and likely so is Claude Julien's job as head coach of the Bruins.
Playoff races are fun, but for the first time since 1970, Canadian fans won't have a team in the dance.

Say what one will about Rob Schremp and Linus Omark, neither player has been forgotten in Oil Country. Both are having interesting seasons, and as another disappointing year winds down in Edmonton it’s probably a good time to check in on a pair of players who continue to inspire emotion in Alberta years after their departure from the Oilers’ organization.
