There's not much question Devan Dubnyk took immense strides toward proving himself capable of being an NHL starter with the Edmonton Oilers this season. Is he all the way there yet? No. Does he warrant a longer look? Absolutely.

The Minnesota Wild are 5-0 against the Oil this year and have outscored them 20-8 this season. Against the rest of the league the Wild average 2.3 GPG, but they've been an offensive juggernaut v. the Oil averaging four goals a game. Don't you miss the early days of the Wild; I bet the Oilers do.

In their first 12 games against the Wild the Oilers went 10-0-2, but since then they are 15-28-2-5. The Wild limp into Rexall tonight fresh off a 5-0 drubbing by the Canucks last night and without Martin Havlat, Mikko Koivu, Guillaume Latendresse, Cam Barker, Marek Zidlicky and possibly Chuck Kobasew and Cal Clutterbuck. Kobasew didn't play last night due to a personal matter, while Clutterbuck was a late scratch due to food poisoning and he'll be a game time decision.
