The Edmonton Oilers main camp opens Wednesday with medicals, and their first on-ice sessions will be Thursday and Friday at Millenium Place in Sherwood Park. Both days will be open to the public and Thursday's session starts at 8:45 a.m.

Tomorrow the Oiler rookies take on the U of A Golden Bears at Clare Drake at 7 p.m, and if this past weekend was any indication the rookies will be in tough to keep it close. Still, I hope what I saw spurs a conversation, and as always, I’m very interested to hear what you see on the stream that might have looked different. As before, systems followed by player reviews.

When the Edmonton Oilers selected Greg Chase late in the 2013 entry draft, observers agreed that it was a great selection for that point in the draft, a hidden gem near the end. However, that and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee these days--the proof is on the ice and in every shift. We're so early it's barely sunrise, but there's an interesting story emerging and the arrows are heading in a nice direction.
