On Sunday, Los Angeles Kings blogger Isaak Koenka of the website RantSports.com wrote a piece that criticized Kings forward Dustin Penner and relayed un-sourced reports that Penner and his agent were already trying to sell other teams on the pending unrestricted free agent.
On Wednesday, Penner took to Twitter to express his view of the story.

Tim Murray, the assistant general manager of the Ottawa Senators, is rapidly approaching the 20 year mark working for NHL teams, much of it on the amateur scouting side of things. He currently runs the team’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton, a tremendously successful team that won the Calder Cup in 2011. Yesterday, Murray commented on this year’s draft, and his comments offer an outside perspective for Oilers fans.

Minnesota Wild beat reporter Mike Russo wrote that the Oilers are actively pursuing Cal Clutterbuck and the trade could involve Tyler Pitlick.
One team hot after him is Edmonton; the Wild has talked to the Oilers about a deal that would include Minnesotan Tyler Pitlick.
Russo had the above line in his piece on the Wild's salary cap situation and where Clutterbuck fits. Clutterbuck is an RFA, and he just finished a three-year deal with a $1.4 million cap hit. He made $1.7 million in actual dollars last year, so you'd think he'd be looking at a deal north of $2 million.
