Hey look! Fans cheering for hockey. I remember that.
Here are today's KHL highlights. SOme pretty notable games are missing. For example, we didn't do packs for Yakupov's team Neftekhimik, Malkin's team Magnitogorsk, Lupul's team Avtomobilist, etc, etc. There was a technical issue, but we still managed to make highlight packs for five of the games. To make it up to you, we will be doing packs for the important games we missed tomorrow, in edition to tomorrow's Dynamo Moscow vs Dinamo Riga game.

There was a time in my life when this hockey card was my prize possession. I hid it in a shoe box, top drawer of my dresser, and Orr was hidden at the bottom--I felt thieves would go after the Leafs and Golden Seals at the top. I had the entire set (that's a story for .another day) but the Orr card had special value. He was my hero, but he was also the very best player on the very best team--the Boston Bruins of my youth.

Jordan Eberle has 11 goals and 26 points in 18 games with the Oklahoma City Barons in the Amercan Hockey League. After a bit of a slow start, he along with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall are dominating the AHL. Many expected them to dominate, but Eberle was quick to point out that the AHL is much better than people think.
I chatted with Eberle about the adjustment to the NHL, his desire to score, becoming a leader, his thoughts on Justin Schultz, Taylor Hall, Todd Nelson and if Ryan Nugent-Hopkins should play at the World Juniors.
Eberle had some excellent insight into scoring and you could tell that the kids aren't wasting their time in the AHL. They are using it to get better, as well as trying to add some new dimensions to their offensive games.
