The Olympics are, of course, all about athletic competition, pushing to be the best, and coming together as a global community to celebrate peace and goodwill. But let's be honest here, it's also about winners and losers. Canada may have won the most gold ever but I think it's time we took a look at the real winner: America.

In case we needed some more incentive for tonight’s game, a win on the ice by Canada will set a new winter Olympic record for most Gold medals in one Olympics: fourteen I guess Own the Podium wasn’t far off after all.

Sooner or later, everybody moves on. That's true in every walk of life and it's no less so with players in the NHL or for those of us who make a living reporting about them.

The NHL trade freeze will end at midnight tomorrow, and with two weeks void of games many GMs have had time to focus in on their respect team's weaknesses and look at which players could possibly help fill those holes. Will Ethan Moreau fit into a hole on another team’s roster? I’d say yes.

You: "Oh hey Wanye, thanks so much for writing Olympic updates like you said you would. We have really enjoyed the nine day gap with no articles ya fall down."
WG: "Thing is, last time we wrote the Canadians lost to the US. We since have come to believe that no OGDBs are good luck for the Canadian team which must come first at all times."
You: "If that's the case, why are you writing today?"
