Oilers recall Tyler Pitlick

The Edmonton Oilers made a somewhat surprising decision on Sunday, bypassing recall candidates like Anton Lander and Iiro Pakarinen in order to bring up Tyler Pitlick.



There are two things most hockey fans agree on: Connor McDavid is a generational talent and the Edmonton Oilers shouldn’t be awarded another No. 1 overall pick. In the NHL, ‘fair’ doesn’t exist.


Oilers waive Joensuu, demote Marincin

The Edmonton Oilers made a pair of minor-league assignments on Sunday, returning defenceman Martin Marincin to Oklahoma City and waiving right wing Jesse Joensuu for the purpose of assigning him to the minor leagues as well.
