      horak khl

      1. Roman Horak, Vityaz Podolsk (KHL) 34GP, 16-9-25 (4GP, 1-2-3 this week)
      2. Anton Slepyshev, Salavat Yulaev (KHL) 35GP, 4-7-11 (2GP, 0-2-2 this week)

      4. Daniil Zharkov Torpedo (VHL) 20GP, 1-3-4 (2GP, 0-0-0 this week)

Slepyshev showed some life this week, this represents his highest point total for his career. Horak is clearly the better player, always wondered if he would have played a role in Edmonton had he stayed.

Saw Nagelvoort play in person in Michigan vs RPI. One definite skill is in his puck-handling ability…hit a forward at opposing blue line for a break. Michigan defense seemed big and strong and didn’t allow many second-chances against a small but skilled RPI team.

Can someone in the media or press tell these morons in management that the NHL isn’t a “development league”. Fans don’t pay $1,000’s of dollars to watch a developmental program on the f£€>#ing ice. “Eakins is evolving as a coach”, that’s nice, I don’t pay $500 a game to watch a f€%} coach grow….. That’s what farm teams are for idiots.

“Slepyshev showed some life this week, this represents his highest point total for his career. Horak is clearly the better player,”.

Didn’t you say last week that Slepyshev has world class talent? I’m confused.

      • WTF2

Bring some of these guys up for a taste of the show. They cannot perform any worse than the product currently on the ice.

Drop ticket prices by one-half and provide a credit for season ticket holders.

Make an honest effort to do something that at least has an appearance of relieving the pain of the fans. Grow some balls.

      • WTF2

You look at a class organization like Detroit Red Wings they try to make the playoffs every year and win.

Oilers have been accused of tanking mainly because it seems impossible for so called “Professionals” to do so poorly for so long. This includes management and coaches. I truly believe players don’t tank well unless you want Mario Lemieux.

Oilers are a shameful organization with no class.

        Karma’s a bitch.

I go to my favorite restaurant twice a week – have done so for so many years I can’t remember when it started. Wow, talk about the best food in the world! At least, I remember it being the best in the world. About 30 years ago. the last decade or two the quality has been up and down, mostly down.

for a long time – years – i just ate the food and didn’t complain; after all, it is the best restaurant in the world.

The last several years though the food has been even worse then it had the previous years, sometimes even making me sick. Seems like the renovations started many years ago are never ending, and is spoiling the food. This, even though they have brought in some renowned chefs and raised their prices.

I’ve complained many times. in fact, now i complain every-time I go there, twice per week. I will continue to complain every time I go there – twice a week. Take that! I WILL complain every time! that must really bother you, and I am sure will cause you to make changes!

Now the city if going to pay half a billion dollars to build a new facility for this restaurant, which will make the atmosphere and ambiance much better. If the food is still hideous and causing food poisoning, they should know I will continue to be unhappy and complain regularly about it, twice a week!!

        See you at supper!

Oilers are like a stock in the market you invest in it and it continues to go down. You do your mental gymnastics to prove in your mind the stock should not be going down. And down it goes. Reality is real

          • Joy S. Lee

Great opportunity for him to represent himself on the big stage. I predict it will go well for him, and he’ll be drafted reasonably high. You never know, might even be the Oilers that jump at him early second round if he makes it that far.

      • Poke Check

I don’t get the fans of Edmonton, every year they get excited over the new flavour of the year in the draft, every year they pick high . The results have been the same, we see a pattern here. Getting McDavid or Eichel will not change anything, this is a poorly run organization. Don’t you get it ? It’s not about 1 player.

      • Poke Check

Edmonton fans come up with clever sayings for their top draft picks

“Dead in the water for Conner”

        “Fife n Dekel for Eichel!”

You know what they say in LA Just Win.

Oilers are the worst run organization in North America for many good reasons.
