It would be great if the Oil could land Hamonic, but Byfuglien in Oilers silks would be tits. He would be a deadly mentor for Nurse. Won’t happen, but it would be fricken A. Just saying.

So as Kenny K. and I stood next to one another draining our pythons, I asked him what Calgary Next’s next move was if Plan A was kyboshed by our beloved mayor. He said there was no other plan. What we saw was it. He went on to say that if the city didn’t pony up its share of the dough and enthusiastically commit to the required infrastructure improvements to support the complex, the Flames ownership would begin divesting itself of its franchises. As he highly doubted local ownership could be found for the Stamps, he reminded me that Bernie and Lonie Glieberman were keen to take another stab at the CFL. Estevan would be the likely landing spot for the Hitmen, and as for the Flames, depending on how you look at it, they would become the KHL’s westernmost or easternmost outpost with the flaming C replaced by a flaming K. Kenny K’s final remark was fitting to the location of our chat as he said that the city and the many concerned citizen groups who were opposing Calgary Next were pissing away one of the last chances this city had to become a great city.

Could somebody at the Nation Network wake up those lazy hipsters that write about the Canucks so they can, you know, write about Yannick Weber of yannickweber.com being placed on waivers?

    Please and thanks.
