A slower week for most of the system of the Oil. Slow in the sense that the games played just aren’t there. Still working on figuring out what is wrong with Safin in Halifax. There are some highlights for you to check out including a few headlines:
Keegan Lowe named captain – the son of Kevin Lowe has overcome a bunch to take on the mantle of the leader in Bakersfield.
Gravel and Marody up – Injuries have started to pile up (really from the win against the Bruins) and so some of the AHL guys are going to get a shot in the NHL.
Slepyshev addition – You asked and I answer. This page is and will be named for the prospects watch. Not all players on it are the traditional prospects persay. Anton Slepyshev is another kind of angle to this story as technically he is still in the Oilers control and so I have added him to the list of players to track this year for you.

Those qmjhl goalies and there .890 save percentage.
So elite.
Rodrigue is a very solid prospect – on the Q team for the CHL/Russian series next month.
He is raw and will be back in junior again next year. He turned 18 like 3 months ago, he was 17 when drafted. I’m not too concerned about his current save percentage in the Q.
He had the same save percentage last year. Very similar to fucale. Who is now a career ECHL AHL goalie.
Odds are so is Rodrigue.
Your right though he is young. And we will give him time . I’m just not getting on it.
Successful drafting sees 2 of 7 kids make it to 10 games or more …… cheer for them all but don’t be too disappointed by a single prospect.
100 games not 10
Cameron Hebig nice surprise for a possible future NHL two-way center.
John Marino and Harvard did play yesterday – no points for Marino as Harvard fell 5-3 to the USNTDP. Marino is 2RD, behind former flame prospect (and now Hurricaine prospect) Adam Fox (who had two goals).
I didn’t see it but, from accounts, Marino did throw one devastating body check which is nice to hear about.
This is depth? (takes stiff shot)
Seeing some wrong stats. Here are the correct one’s:
Maksimov is 11-8-19 in 12 games
McLeod is 1-11-12 in 9 games
Keegan Lowe named captain???? Is it just me or does anyone else think dear old dad had something to do with that.
No but its due to the fact that he was the team’s top defenceman last year – he is an AHL veteran (and still on the right side of 25) that plays a mentor role to the young kids while playing top 4 minutes. Not to mention, unlikely to be recalled unless injuries really pile up.
He was a no-brainer for captain.
Just because it’s the kind of professionalism that you lack in your own business affairs, you need to remember not everyone acts so irresponsibly. You are letting out way too much about yourself, and it’s not doing you any favors.
what ever are you talking about?
The same comment you are replying to, from Eakin’s hair
I still have no idea what you are talking about.
