It’s Oct. 28 and the Edmonton Oilers have a 5-3-1 record — 2-1-1 at home and 3-2 on the road. They currently have 11 points and sit third in the Pacific Divison.
Just a weird season for games played so far to start the year through the AHL and ECHL with both clubs seemingly mirroring the big club in an early lack of games played. That resulted in some goalie shuffling to make sure the logjam sees some time in both leagues. Not too many big offensive weeks…
