Value Village has cap issues, Bennett isn’t going to get 4 mil a season, all a trade with Russell would do is be a straight salary exchange plus them taking on Poolpartys salary, not going to happen.

Already making up lines 3 months from the season? They still have some cap space and with each day that goes by, usually the price and term of the remaining UFA’s goes down. We could see a trade which I think is likely. I am going to guess we see some PTO’s.

    Kind of early isn’t it?

Line combos could be drawn up 20 different way right now but it wont mean much until we see what moves Holland makes to free up cap space and who he moves out. Cap space is still going to clean up and a couple contracts moved and with some AHL guy in the mix and Jesse either headed out to Europe or via trade , there are going to be some guys from the farm pushing to get a roster spot. Until camp and the preseason comes along it is all a guessing game, but once camp starts we will see what Tippett starts to move guys around and see how they gel, and then the preseason will narrow that down a little further, so trying to figure line combos now is pretty much a lot of speculation

Whoa, whoa, whoa – one of the fireable offence of McLellan was breaking up the red-hot Dria/Chia combo (well, trio with Rieder), in the name of “getting Chiasson more ice” and putting Chiasson with McDavid.

The entire success of the Oilers is being able to win the ice when McDavid is not out there. Chiason/Drai did that and, frankly, Chiasson and McDavid are not good together.

Chiasson needs to be with Drai and not with McDavid – Kass and Chiasson must be switched in that lineup.
