Can you believe you’ve already waited a whole week for a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio? You can’t, can you? I can only imagine what the struggle must have been like. Fortunately, the agonizing is over and we’ve got a fresh podcast that’s ready for your earholes just in time for the weekend.
This week's @SherwoodFord GIANT Question is:
How many wins will the #Oilers get in November?
— Oilersnation Radio (@ONradiopodcast) October 31, 2019
To start off today’s podcast, we looked at the week that was for the Edmonton Oilers, including the injury sustained by Riley Sheahan in Wednesday’s game against Columbus. As insurance, the team recalled Colby Cave from Bakersfield and I asked the boys whether or not he’d play, and where he’d fit in the lineup. Sticking with the line combinations, I offered up an apology to Dave Tippett for putting Jujhar Khaira, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Sam Gagner together since I had very low expectations for the trio and they’ve been solid over the past two games. Next up, we all took a few minutes to gush over the incredible month of October Leon Draisaitl and whether or not he’ll be able to keep this heater rolling into November. We also looked at the Oilers upcoming schedule and took a few bets on what kind of month we think they’ll have. We also checked in on a few rumours and rumblings that have been circling Twitter over the past week, including a look at Ken Holland’s visit to Finland where he’s expected to get in touch with Jesse Puljujarvi. Lastly, we finished up this week’s podcast with a look at the Hot and Cold Performers of the Week, and as usual, what was expected to be a straight-forward conversation turned into one hell of an argument.
