Another Monday is upon us which means a fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast is all set and ready to ease you back into your workweek. This week, the guys covered the Edmonton Oilers rollercoaster, the North Division stress, and welcomed former Oiler Liam Reddox to talk a little bit about hockey and life.
Kicking off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a look at the Edmonton Oilers rollercoaster and what it’s like to be a fan of a team that offers the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. If they’re winning, the Oilers are the best team on earth, but when they’re losing, some fans act like they should be relegated. Sticking with one of those highlights, the conversation turned to Jesse Puljujarvi’s start to the season and how he’s looking like a much more confident player in his second tour of duty after coming back from Finland. The guys also spent a few minutes gushing a little bit for Kailer Yamamoto as the honey badger continues to win fans over with his relentlessness on the puck and tenacity in every single shift. Changing gears, Tyler read a brand new listener profile about Caden from Lacombe who has only been listening for a little under a year but is still about as passionate as anyone ever could. You don’t get any listener profiles on Joe Rogan, do you? Of course now. Lastly, the guys wrapped up today’s podcast by welcoming former Oiler, Liam Reddox, to talk about what he’s been up to, fanless hockey, NHL memories, and a whole lot more.
