Edmonton Oilers GM Ken Holland spoke to the local media today and fielded questions about the current state of the team. He talked about Head Coach Dave Tippett, free agent Evander Kane, and what he could look to do on the trade market. Tyler Yaremchuk broke down the quotes from Holland and gave his take on what the veteran General Manager had to say.
There was a lot to get to, starting with the future of Tippett. It doesn’t sound like we’re going to get a change behind the bench anytime soon. What we could be getting is a new player in an Oilers jersey as Holland is clearly open to the idea of signing Evander Kane, who had his contract with the San Jose Sharks terminated earlier this week. Will a trade happen? Should Holland dangle the first-round pick? Will Stuart Skinner get brought back up to the big club? Will Mikko Koskinen be here for the rest of the season? He spoke about all of that and I gave my take as well in the video.
