The Oilers need help

The Edmonton Oilers are 18-13-4 and they’re tied for second in the Pacific Division with a team a few hours south of them. They have the top two scorers in the league in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl with a seven and six-point lead on their closest contender.

Tyler’s Time?

Bortuzzo, a repeat offender in the eyes of the Department of Player Safety, only received a four-game suspension for repeatedly cross-checking Viktor Arvidsson in the small of his back.

As Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl continue to dominate the league as the most explosive duo on the ice, the Edmonton Oilers bottom-six is starting to show up in their own right. The curious case of Alex Chiasson

Alex Chiasson was one of the biggest storylines around the Edmonton Oilers last season. Riding the coattails of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, he had a career year scoring 22 goals adding 16 assists.

The Oilers should claim Brandon Pirri

The bottom-six forwards for the Edmonton Oilers can be described as sitting somewhere between complete wasteland and a nuclear fallout zone. Things are not good and Edmonton is not getting any contribution from the likes of Jujhar Khjaira, Patrick Russell, Markus Granlund, Josh Archibald or Riley Sheahan.
