Happy Wednesday, everybody, and welcome to another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in local radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
Jumping into this week’s segment, we got started with a look at the NHL playoffs and specifically how the Habs look to be hugely overmatched against the Vegas Golden Knights. In fact, game one of that series was so lopsided that we discussed whether or not any of the other Canadian teams would have had a better chance in this series, and my answer was about as you’d expect. Back to the Oilers, we then looked at Connor McDavid’s chances of winning the Hart Trophy or if either of the other two nominees actually has a chance at winning. From there we looked at Auston Matthews and Justin Bieber going to the UFC fight in Arizona together this past weekend, and how the media at the event didn’t even acknowledge that Matthews existed apart from being the guy in the pictures with JB. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a chat about the Edmonton Elks and whether or not I plan on going to any games this year, which I most certainly do despite not necessarily being a huge fan of the CFL.
