Nation Donair Tour – High Voltage

It’s episode four of the Nation Donair Tour and we’re still rolling! Last week we were joined by Yukon Jack and gave Amean Pizza & Donair a taste. This week we received an outrageous amount of recommendations for High Voltage (10387 63 Ave NW, Edmonton), so we just couldn’t resist.
People have a lot of interesting stories with their High Voltage donair experience. It was definitely a unique donair and I would recommend it to anybody. Personally, I felt the donair reminded me more of a pita than a donair. Instead of a steamed pita, it was grilled. This made for a very clean-eating donair experience with not a lot of mess.
For the first time on the Nation Donair Tour, we had a big disagreement. You’ll have to take a look for yourself, but The Squire was really disappointed with the High Voltage donair, claiming that it did not meet the qualities of a proper donair. Meanwhile, Cooom felt that all other donair shops should aspire to be like the High Voltage donair. Confusing, right? I landed right in the middle. It was definitely a non-traditional donair, but had an incredible taste to it. The search continues for the 97 of all donairs!
Watch the video below and see for yourself. Please remember to comment below with your favourite donair shop and recommendation of where we should go next.
