The Edmonton Oilers returned to the ice last night after a long five-day break. Lots happened during that break, with news coming out on Connor McDavid’s Canadian Walk of Fame event, Jack Campbell’s future in Edmonton and a potential Philip Broberg trade.
However, none of you want to hear about that today! Instead, you all want to discuss the Oilers dominant performance versus the Carolina Hurricanes last night. The boys came out hot and heavy scoring on their first two shots of the game. A great forecheck by Warren Foegele led to a Ryan McLeod goal and then another excellent faceoff set play was finished off by Zach Hyman to make it 2-0.
Hyman’s night didn’t end there. The Oilers scored two more goals to take his tally up to 15 goals, making him well on pace to score a career high in goals. That leads to today’s Sherwood Ford GIANT question on the show: where does Hyman rank amongst the best free agent signings this decade?
If you want to contribute to the show, head over to the Oilersnation YouTube during the live event and leave your thoughts in the Finning/CAT live chat. Your questions, comments, and concerns will be welcomed throughout the show, so do not hesitate to leave your opinions there.
Finally, the Shohei Ohtani news is building and Tyler Yaremchuk is struggling to contain his excitement! To close out the show, Tyler will give you the latest update on how close the Toronto Blue Jays are to getting the MLB MVP.
