Risky Business: Betting on being better

Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Nearly 48 hours after the Oilers dropped a fresh turd at centre ice for Game 3, I’m still trying to make sense of how that happened. I mean, the boys looked so truckin’ good in Game 2 on Saturday night that having them look so awful back at home made absolutely no sense. Not only did they lose that game in shitacular fashion but those of us betting on a repeat performance got cleaned out in the worst way possible. Needless to say, I think we all need a bounce-back effort not only for our bankrolls but also for our spirit and hopes of moving on. Obviously, I don’t need to tell anyone reading this about how important it is for the Oilers to avoid going back to Vegas down 3-1 in the series, and the only way they can avoid that situation is by bringing their A-game instead of whatever we got two nights ago.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Golden Knights.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard over 2.5 total shots at +115. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Easy Money:

Oilers over 33+ shots on goal at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +200. My $5 bet would return $15.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers to win and over 5.5 total goals at +155. My $5 bet would return $12.75.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I hated everything about the last game. Everything. Not only did the Oilers lose but I also got killed on my bets after feeling so confident that the boys would show up with another solid performance. I sat in my seats on Monday sad and broker than I was when the game started and that’s no bueno.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at +130.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at -154.
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +200.
  • Edmonton to win and over 5.5 total goals at +115.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Golden Knights.
