The Sherwood Ford Giant Pre Game Show – Game 55 @ Chicago

The Oilers picked up their second win of the road trip on Tuesday night in Philadelphia and tonight, they’ll look to wrap it up with another victory and finish the five-game trip with three wins. The win over the Flyers definitely wasn’t pretty as the team allowed 39 shots on goal but, they got another great performance from Mikko Koskinen and managed to grab a big two points. With just 27 games to go in the season, every game is pretty much a must-win for the Oilers and they certainly can’t afford to drop points against teams below them in the standings. The Hawks have been super average all season but they did beat the Oilers back in February in the game that ultimately got Dave Tippett fired. The Oilers have been a much better team since that happened though and I outlined some reasons why today on the show.
