The Capilano Rehab Injury Report: Flu Bug

I’ll have you know that there was one game since the last injury report, and we had NO NEW injuries! *round of applause.* There was, however, a pretty significant piece of injury news that came up. It breaks my heart to talk about it, but let’s do it anyways.
Ah the injury report, we meet again. Remember in last week’s article when I mentioned that the injury pace has been much slower for the Oilers this year than it was last year? With that said, let’s welcome three more players to the injury report! *tugs collar*
Let’s talk about progress! No, I’m not talking about the lack of progress the Oilers have made this season, following up their winning streaks with more losing streaks. I’m talking about the injury progress! Last season, as the weeks went on, the injury list got longer and longer. We seem to be moving in the…
I’ve got some good news and bad news. Which one do you want first?
What would be my perfect injury report? Well besides reporting on NO INJURIES, my perfect injury report would be making injury updates as informative as they can get. For example, Kris Russell’s lower body injury is a strain in the hamstring area. Though pretty painful at first, Russell has come a long way. Today, however,…

I’m not saying Mark Fayne is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury, but I’m not NOT saying that either…
It’s the article everybody loves to hate! That’s right, we have partnered up with our good friends at the Capilano Rehab Centre to bring back the weekly injury report for all you superstitious citizens to hate. However, I wanted to approach things a little bit differently this time.
Is there anyone else that can get injured in this last week? Unfortunately, my wish from last week’s injury report of the remainder of the team getting injured just for funzies didn’t come true. What we learned is that when you want the Oilers to be injured, and nothing is on the line, injuries don’t happen. When we are still…
For the third time this season, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been put on the injury reserve. This time it’s not because of the flu or a broken hand, but with a concussion. And before all of you start calling Nuge soft, and weak, he suffered this concussion after going hard for the puck in the least soft way possible.
