Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – April 5, 2016

Is there anyone else that can get injured in this last week? Unfortunately, my wish from last week’s injury report of the remainder of the team getting injured just for funzies didn’t come true. What we learned is that when you want the Oilers to be injured, and nothing is on the line, injuries don’t happen. When we are still…

The Roundup

Leafs are the right fit for Jimmy Vesey, the Canucks are bad and there is more than one way to tank, Wings honor Mr. Hockey, who will the Flames be moving this summer, Yakupov requests trade, his agent speaks, how good is Auston Mathews, the trade deadline a month later, daily fantasy and more in this week’s Roundup…

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – March 29, 2016

For the third time this season, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been put on the injury reserve. This time it’s not because of the flu or a broken hand, but with a concussion. And before all of you start calling Nuge soft, and weak, he suffered this concussion after going hard for the puck in the least soft way possible.

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – March 22, 2016

I was excited when I thought there were no new injuries from this past week. Actually, I’m pretty sure that an injury-less week has only happened once this season. This may still be the case for tonight, and it will all depend on whether Patrick Maroon plays or not.

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – March 15, 2016

One would think that there would be a time during the year where guys would just stop getting injured. There’s no science behind this, just a general thought. How in the world is it possible for so many people from one team to get injured in such a small period of time? The season is…

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – March 8, 2016

Here goes another week of writing bad news in the injury report. The only two things keeping me positive about all these injuries is the fact that our playoff hopes are essentially dead (meaning we don’t need a healthy roster for an early off-season), and Connor McDavid (for obvious reasons).

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – March 1, 2016

We welcome the month of March into Oil Country with a big ol’ how-do-ya-do shoulder injury to Benoit Pouliot. After watching him slide into the boards head first against the Islanders the other day. I was surprised to see that he didn’t burst into flames after that crash.

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – February 23, 2016

There are actually injury updates to report on this week! Oscar Klefbom, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Andrew Ference still remain on the IR, however, the Oilers IR swallowed up and devoured another innocent player last week in Eric Gryba. You know what, if we have to sacrifice all of our players to the IR at least once this season…

Capilano Rehab Centre Injury Report – February 16, 2016

I think this is the first time this season that our IR has not changed for two straight weeks. This is amazing. Go team! The trio of Oscar Klefbom, Andrew Ference, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins are still ‘kicking the dust up’ in the press box, and I can just imagine all the fun times they’re having, slowly becoming best…

Connor McDavid’s First Practice with the Condors

Connor McDavid is officially in the nest. He won’t play with the Bakersfield Condors, but he will get into a series of practices and game-day skates just as he did on Tuesday ahead of the Condors game against the Manitoba Moose.
