Kelty Auction #4 – Development Camp with NHLers ***UPDATED***

Today is the 4th auction in our drive to raise as much money for Kelty as possible. At this point, we’ve raised $1950 that will be going directly to Kelty’s family to help with the cost of her surgery. We’ve still got some great items to go, so keep checking with us to see what’s happening. If you don’t have the cash to bid on the auction, we don’t blame you, but you can still help us by sharing and spreading the word. Today’s item is a spot in Brian Sutherby’s hockey development camp. If you’ve got a little hockey player in your family that would love to spend some time with some NHLers, this is for them. Thanks, Nation.

One thing I’m very aware of is that this is a hockey blog and you guys come here to read Oilers related news, but I’m very proud of the support you guys have given us with this auction. We’ve heard nothing but love and support from the citizens of the Nation and we’re very happy about that. You guys have been great throughout the process and we can’t thank you enough for your generosity. It’s not like we were surprised, anytime we’ve put on an event of any kind for charity you guys have gone over and above.

When I was a kid, my dad used to send me to hockey camp in the summer. Even though I didn’t make it anywhere with the hockey (obviously) I loved going. It was a great experience and the instructors were very helpful in helping me get better. Even though the camp was always great, one thing that I always wished for was that I was able to interact with some actual NHL players. If your son or daughter is playing hockey one of the coolest things they can do is spend some time with pro hockey players. When we were looking for auction items one of the first people to step up and offer to help was Nation Overlord Brian Sutherby.

For those of you that don’t know, Suds is hosting a hockey camp for Novice, Atom, and Pee Wee aged kids at the Kinsmen Arenas this summer with special guests Ladi Smid and Johnny Boychuk. If you’re the winning bid, your child will get personalized attention from the pro instructors, a camp jersey, t-shirt, Oodle Noodle GC, autographs and pictures with the pros. If you want to bid and you can’t even be there, Suds told me that they will still send you a prize package signed by the guys at the camp. Want to know what the camp covers? Check out and check out the breakdown. It’s an experience your kids will love. Also, if the dates listed for this camp don’t work for you, your pass into the development camp will be good for any camps that Sutherby (Pro Connection Hockey) holds in the future!

To submit a bid, just fill out the form below with the required information. All we ask is that people with serious bids apply to help us keep this organized and run as smoothly as possible. I will be updating the article as bids come in to let you know where we’re at and who is the leading bidder! The auction will close at end of day today (11:59pm) and the winning bidder will be notified by email.
