    • I looked up Elite in the dictionary, there are four definitions, this is the closest one to the ducks.

“a type, approximately 10-point in printing-type size, widely used in typewriters and having 12 characters to the inch.”

All the other definitions said “the best” or “highest class” or the like, so clearly you can’t have meant any of those. So you’re saying they’re a font size?

In fairness, he didn’t say “The Ducks”, he simply said “ducks”, in general, are elite. Don’t know if I agree, I’m more of a loon fan, myself.

The defense is starting to come around, finally. Still a work in progress but they’ll get much better.

Well done with the punctuation, by the way. I hope you can read better than you write… I guess you’ve got to get your digs in on the cross-nations posts, now that you’ve been banned from wasting everyone’s time over at FN. You certainly haven’t been (and won’t be) missed.

You’re worried about a period? This is not an English exam.

The reason I keep bringing Calgary’s defence up is just a reminder that you do not have the best defence in the league. You have the worst!

The minute they traded for and subsequently signed Hamilton long term all I heard was how great the “D” was and how much better they were than any other team in the league without so much as playing a game together.

Not only were they the best defence in the league , you could pick any of Giordano,Brodie,or Hamilton as the Norris Trophy winner this year.

Last season Calgary beat the odds by riding unreal and unsustainable percentages and career years not seen before by many players and they have come crashing back down to earth , just as predicted.

Edmonton has been lambasted by flame fans and media for giving $6 ml contracts to a couple of their young stars but look at their stats . They have had a couple of down years due to injury but when healthy they have excelled in this league. Hall is on pace for 101 points this year and for left wingers only Jamie Benn may be better at this point. That looks like an underpayment now in comparison to O’Reilly.

Hamilton is playing 3rd line minutes and he is making 6 ml per season?Giordano had 1stellar year at 31 years old and is playing like crap this year and is making 7 ml. Never given, always earned? Who looks overpaid now?
