Welcome, friends, to episode 2 of Inside the Nation! What is Inside the Nation? It’s the Facebook Live show where our very own Dustin Nielson dives deep into the Internet machine to talk all things Oilers and answer your questions about what’s going on with the team we love. This week, Nielson takes a look at the backup goalie situation, the pressure on Drake Caggiula, the power play and a whole lot more.
To start off today’s video, Dusty starts things off with analysis of what really matters — how his golf game is doing. With that out of the way, Nielson got to the line combinations for tonight’s game against the Coyotes and broke down whether or not everyone is properly slotted. Are the top six lines set in stone? When will Jesse Puljujarvi get a look on Draisaitl’s line? Will Kailer Yamamoto stick in the top six as well? If so, how will that affect what happens in the bottom six? And where will Drake Caggiula fit in? Dusty breaks it all down for us.
Sticking with the roster questions, Dusty wonders what’s going on with Mikko Koskinen and whether or not the Oilers will regret giving him $2.5 million? What will happen if he has another mediocre performance tonight against the Coyotes? Along the same vein, Dusty also wonders what’s happening with Jerabek, who signed a one-year deal with the team earlier this summer. He hasn’t been overly impressive during the pre-season but is that enough for the team to call it quits? Check all of this out and more in Episode 2 of Inside the Nation.
