Remember the record-breaking 50/50 draws that were held when the Edmonton Oilers were still in the playoffs? It looks like they might be coming back sooner rather than later.
According to the Edmonton Sun’s Terry Jones, the plan is for the draws to return to the province of Alberta for the Stanley Cup Finals.
The world record breaking Edmonton Hub City Stanley Cup 50-50 will return for games of the Stanley Cup Final.

Re Stanley Cup 50-50. It is not yet official. Blessing has to come from ALCB. But that is the plan.

Surely, this isn’t going to cause any issues, right? Right?
The Edmonton Oilers Foundation had some major issues when it came to making it happen the first time around. They did what they could to continuously improve load times and issues on the website, but there were way more people trying to get on that anyone could’ve expected.
The $14.1-million draw that happened for the Edmonton vs. Chicago Aug. 7 game was a record-breaking number for any sports league around the world. Giving Albertans another crack at breaking that record is going to be huge.
