Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we jumped in with a look at the Evander Kane news that’s burning the city up right now after word hit Twitter last night that the winger could be joining the Edmonton Oilers. While there’s no doubt that Kane would be a huge addition off the ice, the allegations off the ice and with his past teams have many fans concerned about whether or not a move like this is worth the risk. From there, we looked at Ken Holland’s press conference from yesterday, specifically his vote of confidence for head coach Dave Tippett who is certainly in the crosshairs for many fans right now. Seeing as Holland has never fired a coach in season, I don’t expect that Tippett will be his first but as he mentioned in the press conference, there could be a time when a move like that is possible. Getting into some shenanigans, we looked at the Kodak Black story from last night that was making its way around social media after a video emerged of the rapper looking like… well… he was having a good time at the Panthers and Canucks game. As it turns out, an alternate angle of the event showed that it was only some twerking going on but that didn’t make Twitter any less fun than it was.
